COMMENTS:
This is a very good car overall and could be excellent after a few minor
maintenance and repair tasks are completed. The engine is a period correct
V-12 that runs very well with a correct Stromberg Two-Barrel Carburetor
(unable to verify the engine numbers due to their location.) The body
has been completely restored and was done well and painted well. After
looking at the undercarriage, it appears that the vehicle was a fairly
rust-free vehicle even before the restoration started and is very clean
now.
NOTE: Additional engine and parts have a value of approximately $1,500.00.
- $33,000 (Alliance, Nebraska)

1940
Lincoln Zephyr Sedan Restoration
started 7 years ago. Body work 90%+ Direct to metal sealed. Fenders
and firewall painted (burgundy). Small
dent in right front fender. Rebuilt
V-12 flathead- 0 hours run time. Distributor
needs to be bench set, 1941 Overdrive trans (only upgrade other than stock),
standard rearend. All
the trim (+). Rebuilt
radio, speedo re-calibrated, completely rewired (dash forward-stock cloth
loom), seats are in excellent restorable shape. Grille,
bumpers, and bezels in great restorable shape. Have
all glass as patterns, 2 backglass, and rear quarter glass is ready to
go in. Quite
a few extras come with the car. Gas
tank has been flushed. It
is missing the gas door and the wheels are 15" mercury-type. Car
is located in Ramona, CA.
We
got the car from a widow whose husband worked on the car for 7 years before
passing away. He
restored cars and owned a vineyard. Everything
from the ground up was rebuilt brand new.
We were told the guy had the entire driveline rebuilt along with the motor
and carbs, put on a dyno and ran for a few hours. We
had it on a lift and even the original stickers were replaced. We
tried to start it (hadn't been fired in a few years) and realized the
distributor needed to be bench set. We're
still playing with it and hopefully have it going before it sells. Everything's
there with a lot of extras- we just don't have time to finish the rebuild
cause racing season started (El Mirage and Bonneville).
Please call Jake at (760) 908-7403 or email Lance at lancedawes@mac.com I
would love for this to go to someone who appreciates Lincolns.

Sale: 1940 Lincoln Custom Brunn Town Car This
is one of four Brunn built town cars made in 1940 for the Ford Motor Company
and used by the Ford family. This
one is believed to have been used by Clara Ford, and, was updated over
the years with a 1946-48 style front end. It
is a 19,000 mile original car. Excellent
period repaint which is still very presentable. The
upholstery in the front and rear is in excellent original condition. The
V-12 engine is whisper quiet and the car runs and drives like a 19,000
mile original car should. This
car is ready to tour or would be a great addition to any collection. A
historically important prewar Ford. Asking
$57,500.00. Located
near Detroit, MI. 734-730-4274 cell, 734-913-9762 office, motoringicons@hotmail.com
