For Sale: 1940 Lincoln-Zephyr Sedan Bought from an estate sale. Bodywork done and car painted, engine and transmission rebuilt, grill and bumpers were done and then the owner passed away. Motor and transmission are in place but not hooked up and we have never started the engine but is does turn over by hand and feels tight. The car is solid! There is no visible rust. The car came form Eastern Washington state.
It is missing a few things: Some stainless on the lower hood edge and along the bottom of the doors and rear skirts. Have the heater and radio along with other misc. parts in a box. Seat frames are in great shape. We have the headliner bows and old door panels. My father wants to sell this soon due to health issues so offers will be considered.

Lead on a 1941 Lincoln-Zephyr 4-Door Sedan from Member Ed Bell: I spotted a '41 4-door Zephyr behind a chain link fence with various other older cars. This one is missing at least the headlight rims and front bumper. The left rear door is slightly ajar. From what I can see, the sheet metal appears in decent shape. All the glass is there, but I could not tell about the rear window for sure. It is owned by a Mr. Poe at 817-373-2592. He told me that it has a '36 Ford V-8 engine and he is not sure about the transmission ... if it is Ford or Lincoln. He does not know where the original engine is. Mr. Poe is a senior citizen and he may not hear the phone every time it rings. Best time to call is after supper. He said he wants $1,250.00 for it. It is located at Rio Vista, Texas, a few miles south of Cleburne [Johnson County]. He said that he has had the car for about 7 years. Perhaps this will help someone rescue a deserving car.

For Sale: 1941 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet, This 1941 Lincoln Zephyr 2 door Continental Coupe model 16H-57 is #777 out of only 850 that were ever made. The V-12 in this car was completely rebuilt as was the entire car by the prior owner. There is less than just a few thousand miles on this car and 8X,XXX miles on body since new. This car came from the dry Nevada desert outside of Las Vegas. The prior owner found it there 15-20 years ago, bought it and restored it very nicely. The owner painted the car the original color and finished the interior off in the original pattern and colors. The V-12 was rebuilt and detailed nicely and dropped in. All brakes were done as well as front end. This car runs and drives excellent at all speeds. Tires are like new and this car shows very nicely overall. While it is extremely nice, there are some small minor flaws as well like there are with most cars. The paint shows excellent throughout but there are a couple of places that show slight fading, notably on the passenger rear fender. There are also some small cracks in the paint in a couple of places as well as a small star like rock chip on the hood. Minor stuff but noticeable. The interior is excellent throughout without any rips or tears. Everything except clock and radio work. Headliner is beautiful. Steering wheel is nice but has some aging to it. The dash center area around gauges has checking to the paint. Gauges are very nice. All the glass is excellent. Under the hood the car shows beautifully and the engine is so quiet you sometime have to ask yourself if it is still running or not... An 8 volt battery system has been installed as this car is still the original 6 volt system. The 8 volt battery works well and turns the engine quickly to start even when it is warm. There is also an electric fuel pump installed near the tank that will bring fuel up to the carburetor fast before starting so it will kick over easier. The switch for this pump is under the dash. The trunk is finished and shows nicely. The body and fenders are very straight and all appear to be metal and solid original parts. The undercarriage looked real nice too and very solid overall. I did note some small holes from bottom on driver floor pan. The rocker panels have had some minor work on the them that is showing a little age on driver side. Once again, not bad at all but if you bend down to look it is noticeable. Overall, this is a beautiful turn key car, that is super rare and very well preserved. Asking $29,500. For Sale: 1941 Lincoln Continental Coupe, Includes frame, a non overdrive rear end, and the cabin stripped. There is considerable nose damage but the cowl, top, and back are fairly solid, as is the frame. If anyone is interested I want $500 for it, they will need a trailer with a winch, I can get it free of the bushes, but it doesn't have any wheels under it. The rear end is out of the car, lying next to it. The car is located just west of Dyersburg, Tennessee at my family's farm.
