A new judging system, and a "model issue" for the magazine...

Cover Story: The Saga of Black Beauty -- Chapter 36: How Black Beauty Spawned Many Maroon Marvels

On the Cover: Here's a beautiful 1937 Lincoln-Zephyr Coupe that you'll never see in the winners' circle at one of our GOF's. Although it's in concours condition and sports many authentic Lincoln-Zephyr accessories, its main shortcoming is that it's only eleven and one-half inches long. It's the new 1:18 scale model available from fordcollection.com, and, except for the paint color, it was patterned after Ron Souders' famous Black Beauty, whose restoration was painstakingly chronicled in our pages from 1989 to 1995.
