Cover Story: Lincolns for the Millennium

On the Cover: You're standing on Government Drive in Forest Park in St. Louis with photographer Chad Coombs, looking southeasterly over the fountain at the World's Fair Pavilion on the top of the ridge, and on the edge of the terrace below the pavilion are eight Lincoln-Zephyrs lined up for the concours d'elegance on Friday, September 8. Gordon Harbuck's 1939 Convertible Sedan really stands out in Neenah Cream, but you have to look closer to see Lloyd Pearson's '39 Coupe and Don Elson's '39 Town Limo behind it, while to the right of the yellow car are J.R.Courtney's and Lee Craig's '39 Sedans, Curt Engvall's '38 Convertible, Ed Lyon's '37 Coupe, and Keith Baker's '37 Sedan.
