Lincolns on the Lake

After the Civil War, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, became a resort destination for many wealthy Chicago families. Many mansions were built on the lake. In fact, many families moved to their lake houses while Chicago was being rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1871. The city of Lake Geneva is an authentic turn-of-the-century town with an interesting blend of period building styles.

That is the location of The Cove of Lake Geneva, the host location of our fourteenth Central Chapter Gathering of the Faithful, a joint meet to be held with the Lincoln Owners Club. The shores of this exquisite lake are the perfect location for a car meet. Our tentative schedule looks like this:

Wednesday, September 24 - Self-guided tours of local attractions, group gathering at a local restaurant for dinner

Thursday, September 25 - 35-mile car tour to 10-Chimneys House Museum (former home of Alfred Lunt and Lynne Fontanne), Board of Directors meeting, group dinner, Concert in the Park

Friday, September 26 - Judges' Breakfast, Concours d'Elegance, Geneva Bay mansion boat tour, Barbeque Dinner, Auction

Saturday, September 27 - Lincoln tour to the Volo Auto & Antique Museum, Chapter Meeting, Social Hour and Awards Banquet

Fees paid for the 10-Chimneys house tour are non-refundable. Meet registration should be sent 30 days prior to meet to reserve tickets for this event. Both clubs will use the same registration form. Chicagoland: I94 N to Hwy 50 W into the downtown area of Lake Geneva. When downtown, take a left (South) on Center St. . We are located at the end of the block on the left hand side.
Grand Ave. to 47 N, which turns into Hwy 120 N. Take Hwy 120 N. until you hit downtown Lake Geneva. Make a right on Center St. We are located at the beginning of the block on the right hand side.

Milwaukee: I94 S to Hwy 50 W. Take Hwy 50 W into the downtown area of Lake Geneva. Take a left (South) on Center St. We are located at the end of the block on the left hand side.
43 S to Hwy 120 S. Take 120 S into the downtown area of Lake Geneva. Make a left on Center St. We are located approximately three blocks on the left hand side.

Madison: I90 S to 11 E. Take 11 E to Hwy 50 E. Take Hwy 50 until you hit Center St. in downtown Lake Geneva. Make a right hand turn. We are located at the end of the block on the left hand side.
